BETTANE & DESSAUVE, Médaille argent, Jardin Selan 2022
JARDIN SELAN features a purple robe with lovely violet reflections slightly tending towards garnet. A high color density is perceived, accompanied by a wonderful brilliance.
On the nose, this wine is complex and powerful. It emanates scents of ripe black fruits mixed with subtle notes of garrigue, ending on a vanilla finish.
The density of the robe is also perceived on the palate. This wine is structured, with well-integrated, round tannins... black fruits dominate here, subtly accompanied by pepper aromas. Mentholated finish.
Conclusion: This wine is naturally generous. It offers us a unique aromatic complexity, revealing both the typicity of the wines from Pech-Latt, its terroir, and the aromas characteristic of the grape variety.
Rich nose of almond milk, tonka bean, and condensed milk, aromas of violet and powerful rooibos tea combined with the scent of cinnamon, blackcurrant jelly, and candied peppers.
Soft mouth, focused on fruit and a juicy sensation, freshness under construction supported by a subtle sappy vegetal touch.
Tian of roasted peppers, smoked mackerel and coriander sprouts, virgin sauce with fennel seeds."

"A firm, dense and focused red bland of 59% Marselan. It shows notes of blackberries, dark plums, cured meat and warm spices. It's full bodied with sinewy tannins. Serious and concentrated, with dark berries, herbs and spices in the finish.Try from 2025."

« Le nez comme la bouche sont gourmands et on aime cette finale longue qui exprime un bouquet de fruits noirs compotés. On ne se trompe pas en choisissant ce vin. »
BETTANE & DESSAUVE, Médaille argent, Jardin Selan 2022
Marselan was introduced to France from Spain in the 1960s by researchers from the INRA. It is an innovative cross between Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon, created to correct other southern grape varieties during blending.
Château Pech-Latt has five parcels planted with Marselan. The higher altitude parcels feature lean, clay-limestone soils, providing adequate drainage. The pruning method used at Château Pech-Latt is the long pruning in double Guyot, a feature exclusive to this grape variety at Pech-Latt. Marselan blend: 80% Marselan, Syrah, Carignan: 20%.
Château Pech-Latt, by adopting meticulous winemaking methods, illustrates a deep commitment to quality and the authentic expression of the terroir. Long vinification with 20 days of vatting, followed by several months of maturation in concrete tanks.
Control of oxygen intake for the gentle and delicate extraction of aromas and tannins.
Ultimately, this results in a Corbières wine that is smooth and supple.
Château Pech-Latt was a pioneer by adopting biodynamics as early as 1990, demonstrating an early commitment to respecting nature.
At Château Pech-Latt, the commitment to respecting nature is not limited to viticulture but extends to all our practices.
Our packaging is designed in an eco-responsible manner. Our labels are printed on recycled paper, our capsules are made of pure recyclable aluminum, and they contain no plastic. Our corks come from a sustainable economy, and our cartons are 100% recyclable.
