The garnet hue of the RÉSERVE DES SYR cuvée foreshadows a character that the nose expresses with a Southern scent blending bitter almond, vanilla, and orange blossom. On the palate, deep flavors of woody blackberries carry this sustained vanilla note.
A blend of Syrah (60%), Grenache (30%), and Carignan (10%). The predominance of Syrah gives the wine ripe red fruits with a rounded profile. Carignan brings pleasant freshness and a nice acidity. Grenache completes this wine with notes of strawberry and smooth, silky tannins.
RÉSERVE DES SYR comes from our old parcels, benefiting from ample sunlight and controlled yields to obtain high-quality grapes.
Château Pech-Latt, by adopting meticulous winemaking methods, demonstrates a deep commitment to quality and the authentic expression of the terroir.
Extended vinification with 20 days of vatting. Light aging in barrels on 10% of the volume to impart vanilla and roasted notes. Our barrels, over 400L each, provide a delicate and elegant woodiness. The remainder of this organic Corbières wine is aged in concrete tanks to blend perfectly in harmony with the wines from barrel aging. Aged for about 9 months.
Château Pech-Latt was a pioneer by adopting biodynamics as early as 1990, demonstrating an early commitment to respecting nature.
