From 1968, Pech-Latt was one of the first estates in Corbi\u00e8res to de-stem and crush grapes, and in 1970, Ch\u00e2teau Pech-Latt stopped using chemical herbicides.
A pioneer in its Corbi\u00e8res wine region, Ch\u00e2teau Pech-Latt fully committed to organic viticulture in 1991. The main indigenous grape varieties of the Corbi\u00e8res region are Carignan, Syrah, Grenache, and Mourv\u00e8dre.<\/p>

Carignan: <\/b>One of the oldest and most typical red grape varieties of Corbi\u00e8res, adapted to the region\u2019s poor and dry soils. Carignan produces powerful, tannic wines with red and black fruit aromas, often complemented by spicy and garrigue notes.<\/p>

Grenache:<\/b> A red grape that brings roundness and warmth to the wines, with ripe red fruit, fig, and sometimes licorice aromas. Grenache is often blended with more tannic varieties like Carignan to soften them.<\/p>

Mourv\u00e8dre: <\/b>Less common but well-suited to Corbi\u00e8res, producing structured, tannic, and colorful wines with complex aromas of black fruits, spices, and sometimes leather.<\/p>
